A tremendous and heart felt thank you to all of the supporters that
came out to the Campaign Kick-Off on Saturday morning as we
knocked on doors throughout the 28th district. Crowds gathered at
each rally as we visited Roselle, Schaumburg and Maine Township.
I was so energized by your enthusiasm and support of my record.
You support my fight to end political corruption and stop the waste
and reckless spending of the past. As I knock on doors, you are
telling me that you want a state government that works - not one
paralyzed by reckless spending and corruption.
Your encouragement has strengthened my commitment to continue
with my plan to reform the way the state spends your taxpayer
dollars – funding programs that work and help people, and cutting
programs that don’t.
Yesterday was the reporting period for campaigns across the state
and I am proud of the fact that almost 50% of our financial support
comes from working families and small contributions of $250 or
less. Your financial support helps me spread the message about my
record and my plan to fix state government and to end politics as
usual.
Thank you for your support and your belief in me. I look forward to
working with you throughout the upcoming year as we talk to
people across the district about making Illinois work better.
